Class Reschedule Policy

GAFASTA asks that we have at least 48hrs notice on class reschedules. GAFASTA will do our best to work within your schedule!

Class Cancellation Policy

GAFASTA requires a 72 hour notice in order to cancel your class. There is a $30.00 cancellation fee and the balance will be refunded.

About Our Courses:

Team GAFASTA is the leader in armed security guards and armed Private Investigator firearms training. We go above and beyond Georgia State requirements in firearms training and qualifications. Students will learn tactical shooting techniques including but not limited to: Shooting and moving, use of cover, malfunction and stoppage drills, tactical and combat reloading, room clearing, close quarters combat, failure drills, multiple threats, transverse shooting and drawing drills. We believe this training will prepare you for the unknown out on the streets.

Our instructors are U.S. Military, Law Enforcement (P.O.S.T Certified Firearms Instructors), NRA and Georgia Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies Certified Firearms Instructors.

Equipment needed: Pistol, holster (No shoulder holsters) 2 magazines, 5 snap caps, 150 rounds of ammunition, lunch and beverages.

TO BECOME AN ARMED GUARD YOU MUST HAVE TAKEN THE “24” UNARMED SECURITY GUARD TRAINING FIRST! OR HAVE A COPY OF YOUR UNARMED CERTIFICATE FOR YOUR TRAINING RECORDS.

TO BECOME AN ARMED GUARD YOU NEED TO TAKE:

• 24 Hours of Security Training (UNARMED)per code 509-03-.02
• 15 Hours of Security Training (ARMED) per code 509-03-.03
• BOTH COURSES SHOULD BE TAKEN BY A STATE CERTIFIED LICENSED INSTRUCTOR!

What the Student Does First:

Sign up via the website under the Security Training Category “15 hour "Armed"  and "Private Detective" course. “

What the Student does next:

• Students are required to register with the Secretary of State (SOS) via "GOALS": https://sos.ga.gov/goals
• After completing the required online tests and firearms weapons range training, students will upload their documents to their GOALS profile:
• 24 hr Unarmed Certificate
• 15 hr Armed Certificate
• Firearms Qualfication Form
• Basic Training Form
• Weapons Permit Training Information
• The SOS will conduct an extensive background check and issue your Blue Card to the company that hired you.

NOTE: Armed Security Guards are required to qualify "annually"  with the weapon they carry on duty  by a Georgia Board Certified firearms instructor.

After you re-qualify, the Student is responsible for uploading their annual firearms qualifications form with make, model, caliber, score, and signature of instructor to your GOALS profile.
